We had a wonderful evening Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Downtown Kirkwood Concert Series raising money for the Haiti Orphan Project (HOPE). Along with providing the best medical professional liability insurance coverage around, The Keane Insurance Group employees have a passion for helping and visiting orphans in Haiti. One of our annual fund raising events is a concert that we sponsor in our community. This year’s event was a huge success, and everyone loved the music played by the band, Fair Warning. We offered food and beverages, popcorn, cotton candy, and face painting for free! Many employees and their families volunteered to serve during the concert while enjoying a warm summer night in St. Louis. Hundreds of people from surrounding communities showed up with chairs, coolers, and generous donations. We were so pleased with the response from the crowd that we can’t wait for next year!
With the funds raised, HOPE has already started building an orphanage that is currently housing over 25 children. A school and a medical clinic are also on the way with plans to take physicians and nurses to care for needs of the residents and the community.
